The Cariboo Cougars earned their fourth straight win and the weekend sweep of the South Island Thunderbirds with a 4-3 victory Sunday in North Saanich. Special teams were strong once again as Nathan Craft scored a power play goal while Eli Jarvis notched a shorthanded tally, his second goal of the weekend. Tanner Fjellstrom and Brett Harris also put one in the South Island net. Cariboo went 1/6 on the power play Sunday while killing off all eight penalties. Nathan Warren stopped 27 of 30 Thunderbirds shots for his seventh win of the season as the Cats improve their record to 12-4-2 on the season. The Cougars return home to Prince George for next weekend's two-game set with the Vancouver NE Chiefs for a battle of the two top teams in BC Major Midget.
