After going down 2-0 in the first period, the Cariboo Cougars scored seven straight en route to the 7-2 win over the Thompson Blazers in Chase Saturday night.

It was a slow start for the Cats as goaltender David Readman allowed two goals on three shots before Nathan Craft scored his first of two to cut the Blazers lead to one after one.

Raymond Grewal went end-to-end early in the second to tie the game at two.  From there on in it was all Cougars with Craft getting the go-ahead goal midway through the second taking a 3-2 lead into the third.

Logan Styler, Josh Connolly, Jake LeBrun and Brett Harris each scored in the third as the Cats cruised to their 21st win of the season improving their record to 21-8-6.

The Cougars went 2/9 on the power play killing off all six penalties.

The Cougars and Blazers meet again Sunday for their final matchup of the season at 11:00am.  The game will be broadcast live at www.cariboocougars.ca.
