It was a busy WHL Bantam Draft day for the Prince George Cougars and a monumental one for former Cariboo Cougar Jari Erricson. The Everett Silvertips traded Erricson to his hometown Cougars Thursday along with the 7th overall selection in exchange for the 11th overall pick, a conditional draft pick, and the WHL rights to Prince George Spruce King Jujhar Khaira. Erricson was drafted 29th overall by the Silvertips in the 2009 Bantam Draft and played the following season with the Cariboo Cougars earning 36 points in 36 games as a 15-year old. He cracked the regular Silvertips roster for the 2010-2011 season and has scored 13 goals and added 20 assists in 129 regular season games since. Erricson joins fellow former Cariboo Cougars Chase Witala, Daniel Gibb, and Raymond Grewal with the Cougars going into the 2012-2013 season. Welcome home, Jari!
