Biography:

Sam was born in Dawson Creek and played all his hockey out of DCMHA until his first Midget where he played for the NEBC & Yukon District Tracker Flyers. Sam played for the Cariboo Cougars his second year of Midget hockey and he has been playing rep hockey since he was a first year Atom. He was the assistant captain for his Peewee AA team in is second season for this team and was the assistant captain for his Bantam AA team in his second year there. As a second year Bantam, Sam helped his team win 6 tournament championships and also suited up for the U 16 Zone 8 Canucks at the BC Winter Games. Last year when Sam skated for the Cariboo Cougars they finished second in the BC Major Midget League.

Away from the rink, Sam enjoys golfing, water sports, and spending time at Moberly Lake. As a golfer, Sam went to Bantam provincials when he was 12 and then represented the North at the BC Summer Games when he was 13.

After graduation, Sam plans on going to University and pursuing a career in Medicine or Engineering. His goals for this years’ season include winning the Mac’s tournament and making an appearance at the Telus Cup.
