| TREVOR SPRAGUE (HEAD COACH) |

The Cariboo Cougar’s 2012/13 season marks Trevor’s 6th season as Head Coach. He is supported by a dedicated staff of people who spend countless hours of their personal and professional time to help this team be one of the leading organizations in the BC Major Midget League.
With creative ideas, strong support from his family and employer, and a drive to succeed, Trevor has helped to shape the Cariboo Cougars into an organization to be envied. A True Northern Team, the Cougars are consistently a team to be reckoned with, and the 20 player roster showcases the talents of passionate, skilled, and dedicated young men from all across the North. The success of this team is demonstrated by the players that have graduated to higher ranks in BCHL, WHL, and NHL teams.
For the past 3 years, Trevor has scouted for the Portland Winter Hawks. He is currently on the staff of the Western Branch Challenge U16 Team. He is involved in the BC High Performance U16 and U17 teams in various capacities. These are all exceptional opportunities to learn and share ideas with other coaches, evaluators and players with bright futures in the hockey world.
The Cariboo Cougars have 2 enormous fans in Trevor’s daughters, Julianne (age 8) and Katherine (age 6). Trevor’s incredible, amazing, wonderful, and forgiving wife of over 14 years, Jessie, holds down the fort while Trevor spends night and day at the rink or on the bus. He couldn’t do this without them!

| BRYAN MACLEAN (ASSISTANT COACH) |

Bryan is entering into his second season as an Assistant Coach with the Cariboo Cougars. He is excited to be returning to such a competitive league, as well as to continue being a part of such a highly respected organization province-wide.
Going into this season, Bryan will look to continue to grow as a coach with an exceptional group of players, and staff.
Bryan will be teaching Grade 6 this school year, and is very enthusiastic in teaching both on and off the ice. He views coaching as not only a chance to teach hockey skills, but also to develop young people into good citizens, so that they can become successful in all aspects of their future.
Bryan is excited for the upcoming season. After coming up just short last season in the playoffs, the players and staff are highly motivated to be competing for a League Championship again this upcoming season.

| TIM SPRAGUE (ASSISTANT COACH) |

Tim is entering his first year on the bench for the Cariboo Cougars. He has helped behind the scenes in past seasons with the team’s Centres as a face-off specialist. Tim is excited to be able to provide his input into the Cougars’ day to day operations, as well the chance to gain new experience in the coaching field.
Born and raised in Prince George, Tim played his minor hockey in the city and also played for the local Prince George Spruce Kings. Tim also works for a local company, TDB Consultants Inc.
For the last 14 years he has shown his dedication and work ethic to the company as head supervisor, and shows the same aspects in every element of his life. He aspires that these traits will reflect upon the young men of the Cariboo Cougars . Tim is inspired to learn from all the staff as well as his older brother, Trevor Sprague.

| BRAD CROSSAN (ASSISTANT COACH) |

Brad Crossan is entering his first season as a full-fledged assistant coach after helping on and off since the Cariboo Cougars entered with the BCMML in 2004.
A long-time Prince George resident, Brad played his minor hockey in town and played for the Prince George Spruce Kings before heading to the SJHL and Europe.
Brad has a lengthy coaching resume dating back to the early 1980's with lots of High Performance experience most recently as head coach of the U-17 BC Cup winning team and with the BC U-16 team at the Western Canada Challenge Cup in 2011. Brad is currently a scout with a Victoria Royals of the WHL and is a full-time fire fighter with Prince George Fire Rescue.
Brad is excited to work with such dedicated athletes helping them grow and develop both on and off the ice.
He and his wife have two children, Jared and Kelsey.

| ANDY BEESLEY (ASSISTANT MANAGER) |

Andy has managed rep hockey teams for the past 8 years, and is in his fourth year with the Cariboo Cougars.
He is also the Manager of CN Centre and Recreation Facilities for the City of Prince George, and is responsible for most of the ‘fun’ buildings in the City including theatre, aquatics, ice arenas, and exhibition park. Andy also works closely with the Prince George Cougars and Prince George Spruce Kings, as well as all other arena user groups, concert promoters, etc.
Andy says “The reason I come back year after year to volunteer with the Cariboo Cougars is because of the unbelievable support we receive from the parents and community, but most of all because of the great kids and staff, who have become part of the tradition of the classiest, highest level role model team in the entire league”.

| RICK BROWN (TRAINER) |

Rick Brown is entering his first season behind the bench with the Cariboo Cougars as the team's new trainer.
A long-time Prince George fire fighter of 30 years, Rick retired as a Captain in 2008. He takes his love of sport from the pitch to the rink after playing with the Prince George Kickers Soccer Club of the NCSSL, also for 30 years as he continues to be a big part of the city’s soccer community.
Rick is continually inspired by the commitment and dedication of the players as they strive to be the best they can be. Rick lives in Prince George and is married with two children and two grandchildren.

| RENZO BERRA (HIGH SCHOOL COACH) |

Renzo Berra played all of his minor hockey in Prince George. He was part of the Toyota Midget Kings that won the Provincials and earned the right to represent BC at the National Championship. In 2008 his son RJay accomplished the same feat while playing for the Cariboo Cougars. Renzo played his junior hockey for the Kelowna Buckaroos (BCHL) and the Seattle Breakers of the WHL. He went onto participate in two NHL camps in St. Louis and New Jersey.
His playing days continued at UBC where he pursued his degree in teaching. Renzo has his Masters Degree of Education in Teaching. His passion for hockey is evident as he started the PGSS Hockey Program in 2002 and now offers 7 hockey classes that cater to 150 students of varying abilities. Renzo has coached at several levels including minor hockey, assistant with the Spruce Kings, and in Italy. He was a bird dog scout for Tampa Bay for 11 years and is currently assisting the Minnesota Wild in performing background checks on players being considered for the NHL entry draft. Renzo is married and has 3 sons, all heavily involved in hockey. Besides his family, Renzo's biggest rewards are in guiding student-athletes to develop their individual hockey skills and in watching their determination and commitment as they strive to acheive their personal goals.

| TREVOR FOSTER (GOALTENDER COACH) |

Trev was born and raised in Leeds, England and moved to Canada with his wife and family five years ago.
He was brought up in a sports family, Dad was a professional swimming coach, Mom a competitive archer, and by age 5 young Trev was practicing 7 times aweek as a competitive swimmer himself. However, this wasn’t to last as he hated cold water, and by 10 he switched disciplines to concentrate on Hockey and Cycling.
After playing 11 years of pro hockey in Europe, he finally won back to back Division One League titles.
He has over 20 years coaching experience, and has worked with a number of goalies, some who have gone on to play in Elite Level hockey.
Trev has spent the last two years coaching Midget level goalies in Prince George and continues his role as goalie coach for the Cariboo Cougars.

Jeff is entering his second season with the Cariboo Cougars substantially adding to his responsibilities. Last year he performed play-by-play and media relations duties while maintaining the team's website and promoting the club throughout the province.
This year, Jeff is adding the role of manager to his portfolio.
A native of Richmond, Jeff currently works as the morning news anchor on The Wolf and 94X in Prince George.
Graduating from BCIT's Broadcast Journalism program in 2008, Jeff has made stops in Castlegar, Terrace, Edmonton, and Saskatoon before realizing the North is truely the the best place to call home.
Prior to joining the Cougars, Jeff performed as a studio host, play-by-play announcer, and colour analyst for the UBC Thunderbirds Football, Basketball, Hockey, and Volleyball programs, and also broadcast the 2007 CIS Men’s Soccer National Tournament.
Jeff spent the 2008-09 season as the play-by-play announcer for the Beaver Valley Nitehawks of the KIJHL. Jeff has also performed play-by-play duties for the BCHL's Trail Smoke Eaters and Prince George Spruce Kings.
Jeff is looking forward to once again working with such a dedicated group to chase a championship, and more importantly help a talented team of young men realize their full potential.

| JAY COOK & MIKE WEBBER (STRENGTH & CONDITIONING) |

Jason and Mike return for a 3rd season as the Cariboo Cougars Strength and Conditioning Coaches. Both are co-owners and operaters of Xconditioning, and have been involved in hockey team training since 2005, having worked with the Prince George Cougars of the WHL, as well as the Prince George Spruce Kings of the BCHL.
Jason is an NCCP certified coach, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, while Mike is a Certified Personal Trainer. Mike and Jay take great pride in applying their knowledge to Xconditioning athletes and seeing them grow as athletes and individuals.
They have worked with hockey players at every professional and amateur level, having helped dozens of players make the jump to their respective next level.

| HARJAS GREWAL (COLOUR COMMENTATOR) |

Harjas is a Cariboo Cougar alumnus, having played full time during the 2010/2011 season and finishing the year as the team's Captain. He also played 20 regular season games the previous season as an Affiliated Player along with the 2 League Championship games. Harjas is entering his second season as the team's Colour Commentator, marking his third season with the team making all three trips to the league championship series.
After failing to make a BCHL squad, Harjas began studying at the University of Northern British Columbia and is pursuing a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He is entering his second year of studies and also his second year with the UNBC Men's Soccer Team.
Whenever Harjas isn't busy with soccer or school he can be found alongside Jeff Sargeant broadcasting Cariboo Cougar games.
His love for hockey and hobby of broadcasting keeps him coming back to to the rink. The family atmosphere of being involved with the Cariboo Cougars and the high level of hockey makes for a fun experience. Harjas hopes to one day see the Cougars finally achieve their longtime goal of a Telus Cup berth.

| BRETT CULLEN (TEAM PHOTOGRAPHER) |

Brett is entering his first season with the Cougars as team photographer. He joins the club with another member of the Cullen family, his younger brother Scott is a defenceman for the team this year.
Brett has always been a sports aficionado, growing up in a hockey household he has been taught to love the game by watching the NHL from a young age and watching his brother through his years in rep hockey. Joining the club as photographer combines Brett's passion for art with the lasting love of hockey. It seems like a perfect fit for this young photographer.
Brett is enrolled at College of New Caledonia taking Marketing and Management hoping to one day run a successful photography business with the help of his real world experience and business training in school.
Brett's local photography business is growing rapidly, with portrait shoots and plenty of other various photography jobs. This seems like the next step to help improve his skills in the very big world of professional photography.
Brett is welcoming the challenge of documenting the Cougars road to success this season and will do his best to capture the boys winning ways this season.
Brett is hoping to follow the team as they do their best to become league champions and achieve a berth in the Telus Cup.

Allan is a proud Saskatchewan boy, but has called Northern BC his home for around 10 years. When not cheering for the Roughriders, or his beloved Ottawa Senators, Allan comes into the living rooms of Prince George residents nightly as the Sports Anchor on the CKPG News.
In his time at CKPG, Allan has become well known in the local sporting community, and is a well-respected contact in Northern BC. Whether the hockey rink, the baseball diamond or the football field, if there is a story on a rising star or first timer, Allan will find it.
He is supported by his wife Tammy and daughter Isabella in all his endeavours.
